Whatever you have your heart set on for your big day, there’s an incredible amount of choice and bespoke offerings in Kent, Surrey, London and its neighbouring counties. Everything from Castles to Crypts and Barns to Boats!

The Crypt at Bleeding Heart, London

There’s no shortage of places to tie the knot in the capital and one of our favourites is at The Crypt. Over 600 years old – in fact, used as a place of gathering since Henry VIII had a three day wedding there in the 1500’s – The Crypt is a visual treat and lends itself perfectly to an elegant and intimate celebration. For every bit of the venue’s ambient and tastefully lit interior, there’s delight in it’s courtyard, which gives the venue a beautifully balanced vibe. If you’re looking a unique place to tie the know, this is one of London’s diamonds.

Cooling Castle BarnKent

Aswell as the marriages taking place within it’s walls, there’s a marriage of styles here as Castle meets barns. The two tower castle gives a historical and grand feel to the venue, perfect for photos and a sense of occasion. Then you can let personal preference (or the weather!) dictate where you tie the knot – there’s the Pavillion Gardens or in Fathom Barn. The number of suppliers working with the venue means there’s plenty of opportunity to really turn on the style with the decor too. Then it’s on to one of the venues other two barns – the heritage and the tithe – for the rest of the day’s proceedings. With the latest additions of the Moat House rooms to prepare for the day ahead too, everything’s thought of and in one place – finishing off dreaming of the best day of your life in the Master Bedroom – included in the exclusive use hire.

Wedding photos incorporating the rocks as a backdrop will give a beautifully unique image and the Great Hall barn is rustic and befitting of any style of wedding. The Cutty Sark is now based on dry land at Greenwich in London, and is certainly among the most historic venues to tie the knot in. Now raised above the ground, you can walk underneath the boat and really get a sense of the size, before feasting your eyes upon its absolutely delightful interior. The tasteful glass canopy not only adds to the visuals, but it also creates just a perfect amount of light at any time of day. There are cheaper places to get married on this list, but very few will be more jawdropping than this real jewel in the capital’s crown.
